Synopsis

The song used, Maggot Brain, has a beautiful history. It was recorded in one take when George Clinton, told guitarist Eddie Hazel, both under the influence of LSD, to play as if his mother had just died. Now that's soul! The history and the story behind a particular piece makes it resonate even deeper.
