Synopsis

*** Finalist of the #digi60seconds competition on battlereels.com ***
Filmed on location at Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute in Ottawa, Canada.
Created for the Digi60 Film Festival and Invest Ottawa. digi60.org/digi60-second-spring-fest/
The catch for this event was to use an Ottawa location which was drawn from a hat. The film must be a maximum of 60 seconds with 20 seconds of opening titles and 30 seconds of credits. The 60 second story must be contained within the 60 second time limit and cannot touch the titles or credits.
Having only 60 seconds to tell a complete story while showing off the diversity of the location, we decided to shoot the story of a plate; from kitchen to critic. As a technical challenge, and inspired by films such as "Touch of Evil" and "Goodfellas", we decided to shoot this journey as one continuous shot from beginning to end with no cuts. It took us 18 takes to get everything just the way we wanted it.
